About the Printer
The mobile label printer is a premium rugged printer designed to withstand many drops to concrete so it can work for many years reliably.  Its battery is rated for a full work day before recharging.  Printing labels is just a matter of loading labels, connect a USB communication cable between the scanner and printer, and opening the MSS Software app to choose the Print function.

Have you experienced a situation where a piece of property is missing a label, or its label is damaged, and a new label is needed? It is common that you need to go to another building with a stationary printer to get the new label which takes time or sometimes days if you are at a CBOC. The mobile label printer solves this problem by printing the label on demand so you can complete your inventory without taking extra steps.

NX labels are available from MSS Software for use with the portable printer.

The printer requires the user to have KWedge 8 installed on his/her PC workstation.  KWedge 8 has a function called USB Communicator which is used to import databases to the scanner which enables the printer function.

	NX Property Labels The mobile label printer is able to print property labels on demand for Vista (EE) and Maximo (MX). Missing Label The property label is missing, but the asset has a serial number.   You can scan or type that serial number into the scanner to produce a label. Bad Barcode If you the barcode on the property is not scannable, you can enter the EE or MX property number into the scanner’s app to produce a label.
Labels for Expendables The mobile label printer is able to print labels for primaries and secondaries on demand. The EX labels contain many variables including Reorder point, Level, and more which can change causing the need to print updated labels. The mobile printer simplifies and speeds up the process of printing new labels.	Door Labels You will likely encounter a door without a barcode during your wall to wall inventory. The mobile printer allows you to print a replacement label on demand.
	Thermal Transfer Labels Thermal transfer labels are available for the VA mobile label printers. Print a long lasting barcode using these labels. These labels use a ribbon like the big box industrial printers do, but the ribbon is attached directly to the label in this case. Once the label is printed, the user removed the ribbon to reveal a high quality and long lasting barcode.
