What is Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) or Active Sync?
This is a Microsoft program that can be used to communicate between Windows Mobile and Windows CE type barcode readers and a PC.
What kind of software do I need to print barcode labels?
You can print barcode labels on any Windows-based printer using specialized software such as Bartender. In addition, sometimes your application will have the built-in capability to print barcode labels.
What software do I need to operate my barcode reader?
If you have a batch barcode reader, you need an application program on the handheld. You also will need communications software to allow you to transfer data to the PC. If you are using wireless (WIFI or Cellular) barcode readers, you need Terminal Emulation (TE), Web, or Custom software programs that will allow you to communicate to your host program. Our barcode specialists will advise you on what you need for specific equipment.
