The MPM45 kit is a label printer system designed for use at VA Hospitals where VistA, Maximo or DMLSS systems are in use.  The MPM45 is a direct replacement for the MPM43 and similar models and it uses the same ribbons and labels.  It is capable of printing labels reliably, quickly and smear-free when used with labels and ribbons provided by MSS Software.  The LCD display makes it easy for the operator to understand what maintenance and support may be needed.  When printing with labels and ribbons provided by MSS Software, the MPM45 can print labels with a high quality long-lasting image which is ideal for assets and supplies.

Overview

New Dual Label Support
The MPM45 has the ability to print on standard 3” wide x 1” tall labels or on 1.5” wide x 0.5” tall labels.  Changing label sizes is easy to do by installing the labels, and the printer automatically detects the label size.  No special programming or set up is needed by OI&T staff.  The printer comes equipped from MSS Software with the software on the printer to detect the correct label size.

Versatility on Demand
The small labels are ideal when applying labels to items with a smaller footprint such as small electronic devices.  Because a single printer can print both label sizes, it is possible to install either label size as needed at a single workstation.  Others may prefer using a printer dedicated to either label size.

Extended Warranty Service
The MPM45 comes standard with a one year warranty which provides coverage for manufacturing defects.  An extended warranty plan extends the coverage period to 3 years and includes no fault coverage.

Q. How do I adjust the start position of the label so it prints correctly?
A. In the printer’s Menus – accessible via its front-panel display and controls – the Start and Stop Adjust are located at ‘Menu’ button > ‘Settings’ > ‘Printing’ > ‘Media’.
Find the ‘Label Top Adjust’ field and make any necessary corrections. A negative Start Adjust value has the printer pull back in – or retract – the printable stock just before printing. A positive Start Adjust value has the printer feed out the printable stock just before printing. The range of allowed values for Start Adjust is [-9999 … 9999].
